Chauffeur waits inside the Terminal A-West arrivals hall with your name on a sign, helps with luggage, and drives you into Philadelphia at a single flat quote. Real-time flight tracking, CBP-aware timing, professional presentation.
The traveler doesn’t want to figure out how to get to the hotel after a 10-hour flight. That’s the whole point of meet-and-greet.
Chauffeur waits at CBP exit / arrivals hall with printed name sign. Post-9/11 gate meets aren’t possible; landside meet at Terminal A-West is standard and works cleanly.
We track the inbound in real time and stage the driver about 45 minutes before scheduled landing — buffer for taxi-in, not hours of curbside waste.
Sprinter vans and mini-coaches handle multiple checked bags without stacking on seats. Chauffeur loads and unloads — you carry your carry-on, we carry everything else.
Right-sized for the arrival — family group, corporate delegation, or milestone celebration.

The standard choice for family arrivals from Europe/Asia/Latin America and small corporate delegations. Leather seating, low step-in, plenty of luggage room for multiple checked bags. Comfortable for the ride into Center City or out to the Main Line.

For the larger extended-family arrival, wedding-party fly-in from overseas, or corporate delegation of 15-30. Under-luggage bays for checked bags, forward-facing seating with overhead space for carry-ons.

For the milestone arrival that deserves a special vehicle — anniversary trip, family reunion, VIP visit. Premium finish, chilled water, ceremonial entrance to Philadelphia after a long flight.
An international arrival at Philadelphia International is not a normal airport pickup. The traveler has been on a plane for 8-12 hours, faces up to two hours of CBP processing at Terminal A-West, and then walks out into an unfamiliar arrivals hall carrying every bag they own. The chauffeur’s job is to make the next 30 minutes of that day feel simple.
Philly Charters (a subsidiary of Stretch LLC) provides PHL international arrivals meet-and-greet for families flying in from Europe, Asia, and Latin America; corporate executive arrivals; wedding-party fly-ins; university-family visits; and diplomatic / business-delegation arrivals. Owner-operated, business-professional chauffeurs, one flat quote per transfer, real-time flight tracking so the driver is there when you actually clear customs — not two hours early running the meter.
Where international flights process. Non-precleared international arrivals at PHL are processed at Terminal A-West Federal Inspection Facility (CBP). This is the case even if the plane deplanes at a gate in A-East — the passenger walks over to A-West for CBP clearance.
Airlines with regular international arrivals at PHL A-West include British Airways (London Heathrow), Lufthansa / Discover Airlines (Frankfurt / Munich), Aer Lingus (Dublin), Qatar Airways (Doha), and American Airlines’ international operations (long-haul Europe, Caribbean, Latin America). Depending on season, other carriers add or drop routes.
The arrivals-hall sequence. After deplaning: passport control (Global Entry kiosks or standard queue) → primary inspection interview → baggage claim → customs declaration exit. The chauffeur meets the passenger on the landside of that final exit. Ground-transportation pickup is at the arrivals-level curb outside the arrivals hall.
CBP wait time at PHL swings widely depending on the arrival bank:
We don’t promise a specific time because CBP doesn’t. What we do is track the inbound in real time, stage the driver appropriately, and stay in touch with the traveler so nobody’s calling us wondering where the car is.
Chauffeur presentation. Dark suit or business-professional attire, clean-shaven or trimmed, printed sign large enough to read from 15 feet away, phone silenced. Every detail matters when the client just spent 12 hours in economy.
Family arrival (4-8 passengers with heavy luggage): Sprinter van is almost always the right answer. Low step-in for elderly travelers, captain seats, room for 6-8 large checked bags without stacking, air conditioning that actually works after a long flight.
Small corporate delegation (4-10 executives): Executive Sprinter for the group ride, or a pair of black sedans if the delegation prefers to split. We can do either.
Larger family / wedding fly-in (12-24 passengers on one or two flights): Mini-coach with under-luggage bays. One vehicle for the whole extended family arriving from overseas for the wedding, funeral, reunion, or graduation.
Milestone arrival: stretch limousine for the anniversary trip, the surprise family visit, the ceremonial arrival. Chilled water on board, red-carpet welcome if requested.
Flat-price quote. One number, quoted up front, includes reasonable CBP wait time and standard meet-and-greet. No surprise line items for the way we structure the service. Extended waits (2+ hours past scheduled arrival) are billed hourly at the standard rate, always disclosed at booking.
Real-time flight tracking. The inbound is monitored. Driver adjusts. You do not need to call us when your flight is delayed.
Multilingual coordination when possible. On request we’ll assign chauffeurs who speak Spanish or other languages for travelers who prefer to communicate in their language.
Chauffeur discretion. Business travelers, family arrivals, and VIP clients get the same rule — the chauffeur does not initiate conversation, does not play music, and does not take personal calls. Quiet, professional, clean handoff.
All flat one-way transfers from PHL, includes standard meet-and-greet and reasonable CBP wait time:
Every quote is itemized. Corporate accounts are invoiced net-15 or net-30; W9 and COI provided on request.
If your arrival involves a larger group (25+ passengers) or crosses multiple airports, see the parent hub: Group Airport Transfers from Philadelphia (PHL, EWR, LGA, BWI). For recurring airline crew shuttle contracts, see PHL Airline Crew Shuttle Service. For a general group PHL transfer without the international-arrivals meet, see PHL Airport Group Transfer.
Real answers to what corporate travel managers, meeting planners, and crew schedulers ask most.
In the arrivals hall at Terminal A-West Federal Inspection, just past the CBP exit. Post-9/11 rules mean chauffeurs cannot go to the gate, but landside meet at the CBP exit / arrivals hall with a printed name sign is standard and works well. The passenger walks out of customs, sees their name on a sign, and is escorted to the vehicle at the arrivals-level curb.
Highly variable. Off-peak on a mid-day arrival can be 20-30 minutes. Peak morning transatlantic bank (multiple widebodies landing 06:00-08:00) can push into 60-120 minutes with checked-baggage claim on top. Global Entry members typically clear the kiosk much faster; Mobile Passport Control helps some travelers. We track the actual landing and adjust — we don’t leave a client’s driver on the clock outside customs for 90 minutes if the queue is short.
Yes. Standard practice is to arrive at PHL about 45 minutes before scheduled landing — that gives buffer for taxi-in and quick deplaning without wasting the chauffeur’s time sitting curbside for hours. For international arrivals we track the inbound flight in real time, add expected CBP processing time based on the arrival bank, and stage accordingly.
Yes. Once the passenger reaches the arrivals hall landside, the chauffeur assists with luggage from the hall to the vehicle — including loading multiple checked bags into the vehicle. Sprinter vans and mini-coaches handle heavy checked baggage without stacking on the seats.
Dispatch tracks the inbound and adjusts. Reasonable delays are absorbed into the flat quote — we don’t nickel-and-dime on short slippage. Extended delays or diversions (flight sent to JFK / EWR / DCA) are handled case-by-case; we’ll either hold the vehicle, reposition, or reschedule depending on what makes sense for you. You get a single quote up front so there’s no surprise on the invoice.
Included. For international arrivals, arrivals-hall meet-and-greet with printed signage is part of the standard service — not an upcharge. We also don’t charge separately for reasonable curbside wait time within the flight-delay grace period.
Yes — this is a common use case. Sprinter vans have low step-in heights and captain seats; we can pre-arrange car seats, add a chauffeur who is comfortable helping elderly travelers, and coordinate wheelchair-accessible vehicles on request. Tell us at booking who’s arriving and we plan accordingly.
Send us the flight number and destination — we build the plan around CBP timing, position the chauffeur at Terminal A-West with your name on a sign, and get you into Philadelphia without stress. Flat quote up front.
